Jeff began his FFS career as a consulting psychologist in 2005. He had previously consulted with various school districts and had more than 15 years' experience in clinical and administrative positions providing clinical oversight and leadership to programs serving individuals with special needs. With his enthusiastic support of the work of FFS, he was named Director of External Relations and Admissions in 2006, and became Dean of Admissions in 2011. He has used his psychology background to broaden the appeal of the school by developing and strengthening its counseling services, especially in the areas of anger management, grief support, and helping younger teens. In 2009 Jeff became a Certified Educational Planner, further expanding the scope of the Admissions Department in guiding parents of special needs teens.

A former high school science teacher and counselor, Marian joined the FFS Admissions staff in October 2011. She brings a wealth of experience to the job, having worked with teenagers as a classroom teacher and librarian, and as a child and family counselor and youth pastor. Her outside interests include art (Prisma colored pencils and computerized art), and hunting and fishing. A former Oklahoman, Marian and her husband Charles live in Pleasant Mount, Pa. She is the mother of three grown children and has one granddaughter.
Christopher Scott
Admissions Counselor

A 2006 graduate of The Family Foundation School, Chris is one of a handful of former students who has come back to join the staff. Since returning in 2010, he has worked as an administrative assistant in Human Resources, compliance offer on the school's Joint Commission team, and as catering coordinator. Chris's favorite extracurricular activities include music and dog training. He has sung barbershop with his father for 14 years and is a member of the Southerntiersmen Chorus in Binghamton. He is also involved in TDI (Therapy Dogs International) with his dog, Tiberius. Chris and his wife Carmen, daughter of FFS president Emmanuel Argiros, live in Hancock.
Darlene Karcher
Enrollment Coordinator
Darlene came to The Family Foundation School in 1997 from New Jersey with several years of secretarial experience. She began in the FFS principal's office and eventually moved into admissions where she is currently the enrollment coordinator. She also does parent contact work and 12-Step sponsoring for the girls of FFS Mann House. When not working, Darlene enjoys relaxing with friends, and with her husband and two sons, David, 13 and Matthew, 10.
