Like high school graduates everywhere, those who finish up at The Family Foundation school are anxious to move on to the next stage of life. But unlike most, our graduates are good about staying in touch and even turning up to share their experience, strength and hope with the current crop of students. One returning alum was recently asked what he was most grateful for as he looked back on his Family School experience. "The controlled environment," he said. "I hated it at first---everyone does---but it's the only way I was ever going to learn self-discipline, or how to be accountable and follow through on my commitments. I don't think I could have learned any of that at home, not at the rate I was going. Sometimes the things we fight against the hardest turn out to be the biggest gifts."
