When adolescents get into trouble experimenting with drugs, alcohol or other high risk behavior, their parents' one concern that tops all others is safety. It's one of the main reasons parents of troubled teens might consider a therapeutic boarding school. First, it removes the teen from the environment and the friends that were catalysts for their troubles. And second, while keeping them safe, a therapeutic environment offers students a chance to make changes; to explore the challenges of growing up in a controlled manner, surrounded by supportive teachers, staff and peers, and with the help of therapists.
The FFS mission is all about giving trouble teens a chance to redirect their lives. Our priority is to keep them physically and emotionally safe in the process.
