Memorial Day at The Family Foundation School

On Monday May 31, The Family Foundation School remembered Memorial Day. FFS kicked off the day with our own Memorial Day Parade. Boy Scout Troop 174, led by Scout Master Scott Cole, held the American Flag high to remember our fallen soldiers. Flying High in the Summer Sky

This year at The Family Foundation School the school has seen a surge in flying Frisbees. From the time the last bell rings on Friday until dinner is called on Sunday evening, the colorful discs can be seen soaring over the campus in every direction. As a result of spring coming early students at FFS have already begun to take to the outdoors and dust off their Frisbee skills. Frisbee seems to take over during spring and summer as the preferred pastime, and this year is no exception. "It's fun to see all of the people get into playing," said Sarah B. Staff and Students Take Advantage of The Beautiful Weather with a Long-Distance Run

The beautiful weather has sprung and so has the exercise. Almost every day students at The Family Foundation School have found the time in their busy schedules to go outside and enjoy some physical activity. Staff members Carlton Williams and Kurt Hock run with the students during the course of the week, helping them work on their endurance.

"There's no better way to find relief than when you're jogging with friends, with the wind blowing through your hair," said Kurt Hock after a beautiful Thursday afternoon run. The students run about two and a half miles or more each class, depending on their endurance. Read More...
